Toddlers at KMC
November 2024
Dear Toddler Group,
Christmas Tree Festival at St Nicholas Church, Abbey Fields
A huge thank you to all the toddlers for making your beautiful angels for the
Christmas Tree Festival at St Nicholas Church.
Our tree will be displayed on:
Thursday 28th November 2.00 – 4.30pm; Friday 29th 10.00am – 8.00pm;
Saturday 30th 10.00am – 4.30pm; Sunday 1st December 11.00am – 2.00pm
This year our church is supporting a charity called Carriers of Hope, which helps
refugee families. We are collecting nappies, and toiletries for the mummies and their
babies. If you wish to support the charity, we will have a collection box in church.
We will be starting our Christmas artwork on 29th November.
We will also start reading the nativity story on the same day in readiness for our nativity service on 13th December.
Our term ends on that date, and we’ll start again on 10th January 2025.
We wish you all a blessed and peaceful Christmas.
Love from Denise and the Toddler Team
As well as the events shown above, we have other things happening at KMC!
We offer a very warm welcome to anyone and everyone who’d like to join us for any of our Christmas services
Sunday 8th December at 5.30pm: ‘Blue Christmas’: a quiet contemplative service for
anyone who finds Christmas difficult, for whatever reason. Come and join us, and feel
whatever it is you’re feeling this Christmas.
Sunday 22nd December at 10.00am - our All Age Nativity
and at 5.30pm - Carol Service
Tuesday 24th December at 11.15pm – Midnight Communion
Wednesday 25th December at 10.00am – Christmas Day Family Service
Our Toddlers Group We have a thriving Toddler Group which meets on a Friday morning during term time from 10:00am until 11:30am. It is led by a team of volunteers. |
|
Children and babies (aged 0-5) are brought along by Mums, Dads, Grandparents or Childminders and enjoy an hour and a half of free play in the hall and sanctuary.
| There are ride-on toys, construction toys, role-play and dressing up as well as cars and a garage, puzzles and books, together with sensory toys for younger children. | |
| | |
|
| There is also an opportunity to do a craft activity each week at whatever level of ability. After the toys have been cleared away the session ends with circle time which includes singing and any notices. |
| | |
The weekly sessions are led by Denise and her fantastic team on hand to serve tea, coffee, squash and biscuits. | | |
| We are a friendly group always looking to welcome new children and their carers. We are always available to listen and to chat with you about anything! We want our toddler group to be the oasis in your week. Come and be refreshed! |
The Christmas Nativity scene, 2023We are ‘rooted and established in love’ (Ephesians 3 v17) and we want you to experience that love too; God’s all embracing, extravagant love. Come along on a Friday morning!
If you and your family would like to join us on a Sunday you would be very welcome to come then too. We have a junior church group for children who join us for the first part of the worship and then go to a separate room for their own activities, and we enjoy the noise that small children make when they stay and play alongside the adults in the main area.
